The Griot Museum of Black History located at 2505 St. Louis Ave. opened as a wax museum in 1997, only the second of its kind in the country. Its mission is to celebrate and teach our region’s African-American heritage through exhibits, touring shows and public programs. The Griot Museum is located at 2505 St. Louis Avenue.
