Kristin Bulin, Executive Director of the Center for Survivors of Torture and War Trauma, comes by the studio to talk about the organization that is dedicated to enabling the healing and self-empowerment of torture and war trauma survivors. They provide hope, healing and health to some of the most vulnerable in our community. Many suffer from complex mental health issues resulting from war trauma and torture. This can make it especially difficult for children and families to rebuild their lives. Kristin talks to Ivy about the centers special event called The ‘Hope and Healing’ Gala. In its second year, the event focuses on raising crucial funds for more youth centered and holistic healing programs. Check it all out below.
