The Jewish Family & Children’s Service is proud to announce that its Child Abuse Prevention Program (CAPP), has been named as a 2013 Leader in Child Abuse Prevention. Program Specialist, Kathleen Hawkins, drops by to tell the gang about this comprehensive program, which includes free training and education for professionals and parents. In a safe and non-threatening manner, children between the ages 3-19 have the opportunity to learn how to recognize and prevent abuse through a format using videos, songs and other activities. To date, CAPP has presented to more than 325,000 children, educators and parents in the St. Louis Metropolitan region.
