Every two minutes, someone in the U.S. is sexually assaulted. 1 in 3 women and 1 in 6 men will be sexually assaulted in their lifetime. The horror of sexual violence is truly immense, but a new local nonprofit is here to help. Jane Doe Advocacy Center is a legal service center specializing in providing legal services to survivors of sexual violence, regardless of sex or income. On this edition of City Corner host, Sarah Thompson, talks to Rachna Goyle, President and Founder of Jane Doe Advocacy Center about sexual violence statistics as well as the center’s services.
