Board of Aldermen, President Lewis Reed, is one of four candidates vying for the job. Reed was born in St. Louis, and began his Public Service career working for the City of St. Louis as the 6th Ward Alderman. He drafted and passed the legislation to revitalize the Lafayette Square neighborhood, and worked with the neighborhood to make the redevelopment decisions. By adopting a real vision for the 6th Ward, he sponsored legislation and worked to create development plans that resulted in over $1.7 billion of new development for the City. Reed has served as Board of Aldermen President for 14 years. He previously ran for Mayor of St Louis in 2013 and again in 2017. Tim Lampley asks Reed his position on policies and his vision for St. Louis should he win the election.
